Space planning! ⬅️➡️ Wall mounted TV enables a full living room reset. Less furniture. More functionality. Costs for this room only include basic strategy session, gifted side tables, and wall mounting. First 3 are after photos; last photo is before.
DO ONE THING! Micro decisions and small actions really add up. Even the act of writing down a home problem is progress. Remember to give yourself credit and celebrate how far you’ve come in creating a space that supports your busy daily life.
When you take the time to consider what you appreciate most about your apartment, it’s easier to use our homes more thoughtfully.
🐷 Happy Year of the Pig 🐷 A clean slate is the best time to try something new. What are you looking forward to starting this year?
DO ONE THING! Pick one surface to keep cleared off when it’s not in use. A clear surface is  inviting when you need it most and turns the visual volume down in your space. Have you ever found yourself working on your sofa or breakfast table instead of your desk because there is too much stuff on your desk? If you want to make better use of your time working from home, keep your desk clear. If you want to cook more, keep your primary prep space clear. If you want to relax at home more, keep your coffeetable clear. That sounds nice but clearing off a space can be a lot of work. That stuff is there because it’s important and useful. How do you actually make a clear surface happen? The shortcut is to put what is currently living on that surface into a bin or box nearby. If you have more time, you can relocate the must have items elsewhere. You can go through the items in the bin or box when you have the time. But right now you have an inviting empty surface that is more useful to you any time you need it! Maintaining this clear surface is a simple visual invitation to do your thing and calms your space. Let me know if you try it out. #doonething #do1thing #newyorkathome #apartmentfunctionality
